question

So while I was on the stairmaster today at the gym I was watching the Today show and Carrie Fisher was on. She called herself eccentric. Here is my question: How much money do you have to have to be called eccentric rather than just plain ol' weird? Because she looked pretty damn weird to me! Excuse the picture but I thought it would be eccentric!

Time for a quick update!!

Well i know it has been a long time since I blogged but this is what
I have been doing! First off my girl likes to potty all the time! Waverly is finally potty trained!!! Thank God!! David Anthony is crawling/climbing everywhere!! (Those of you with boys will know what I am talking about!) I pray everyday he makes it through the day without pulling some huge piece of furniture over on him. Big Dave is taking the Cardiology boards Wednesday and Thursday! Can I get a big AMEN on that one!!! Now only 2-3 more months of stressing to see if he passed them! Of course he will, he is smarter than any of the people who wrote the test, unless of course said people are reading my blog then I was just kidding but please pass my husband!! And last but definitely not least: I am now officially an aunt!!! Chase Landon Gregory was born 10/13/08 at 5:15 pm. He weighed seven pound even. He is gorgeous!!

Watch out Oprah! Here I come!

I have a new book for Oprah's book club. It is called Redeeming Love. This is by far the best book I have ever read. It is a religious book. I know what you all are thinking: BORING. But give it a try. I am going to send Oprah an email to let her know she needs to pick it as her next book selection. You never know I could be on Oprah soon!

Just Wondering

So I have a question for all of you out in blogland. If you forget to brush your teeth in the morning and don't remember until 7 that night, do you go ahead and brush or just wait until bed?

IT'S HOT!!!

Okay everybody! It is supposed to be 96 today. That's right I said 96!!! It's not even June yet! We went to the park today and everyone was sweating. The slides were too hot to go down and the swings were too hot to swing on. Oh and did I mention it was only 10:30!! Anyway at least I'm not pregnant again!! You know what the worst thing about being hot is? BOOB SWEAT!!! And the lovely nursing bra (read midget hammock) I am wearing makes it sooo much better. Well anyway, I hope everyone reading this is in the nice A/C.

Good idea?

Hey does anybody else think that all clothing should come in sizes with height and weight, kinda like pantyhose do. That way you don't really ever have to try anything on, you can just look at this grid thing and presto the clothing will fit. I thought this might be a good idea after trying to entertain 2 kids in a small fitting room. Your input would be great!!

AUNTIE DEAREST

Well as many of you may know by now I am going to be an aunt. My little sister went and got herself knocked-up!!! I am very excited. I have never been an aunt before. I can't wait to spoil that little baby. I have never been able to spoil a baby before so I am going to!! Goodbye nap time, Hello auntie time!!!

Rumor has it...

Well after a few months of pestering my husband I now have a phone that does text messaging. We were going to hold out for an i-phone but decided we could no longer wait. We purchased the Rumor by LG, it is pretty cool. It does video, pictures, texting, Internet, and it is an MP-3 player. It has a keyboard which is what I was really after. I have included a picture. Let me know what you think. Mine has the red sleeve. Please don't text me yet, it won't be working until April 21.

So anyway, today we wnt to the day old bread store (I know it is kind of a ghetto thing to do, but I can't miss a bargain). Waverly was looking around at everything and I showed her the picture of the moon on the moon pie wrapper, we all know how much she loves the moon! Anyway, I told her it was a moon pie. She said and I quote "moon pie take home now", "moon pie pay now", "moon pie eat now". SO I did as I was told. I let her eat it on the way home, she ate 3/4 of it by the time we were home. When we got home she had to call her Bubba (grandpa) and tell him what she had done. And of course Bubba being from North Carolina (read Appalachians) he was so proud. Maybe I will let her try RC cola next!!

SNOW!!

Hey everybody! We got some snow last night, I didn't realize it had snowed until I got up this morning and by the time I got everyone fed it was already melted!! So I didn't get to take any pictures. But Waverly knows a new word and she has been saying it all morning!! It is suppossed to be 60 today so no more snow for a while. I think anyway, it is Texas though, we could be laying by the pool today and stuck inside with 5 inches of snow tommorow!

Back at it!

Hey all. Well today was my first day back at work! It went pretty good. I miss those babies like crazy, but the grandparents say everyone did good and everyone survived. It took me a while to get back in the groove of things and it did help that we weren't very busy. I am actually writing this at work right now. I know what a good use of the company time. But I think my sister also does it, so I should be okay! Well I should go for now it is almost time to pick the kiddos up. YEA!!

What a weekend!!

So we got the kids Easter pictures taken on Saturday. We went to Austin about an hour and a half away. The pictures turned out great, but we ended up spending all day in Austin when I only wanted to spend a few hours!! I got an early pic appt. and I thought we could do the pictures, go eat lunch and then come pick the pictures up. Yeah, it didn't work out that way. The picture appointment was at 10:40, we got our pictures in hand at 1:00. I thought that was too long. It may not seem that long but when you have two little kids that is an eternity!! So then we decided to go look at this double jogging stroller this lady had for sale on craigslist. She lived off Wm.Cannon, which is close to the mall. So then we decided to take 1-35 back home instead of mopac. We figured it is a Saturday afternoon and there weren't any games going on at UT so we should be safe. WRONG!!! It took us almost 3 hours to get home. With a two year old screaming in the back. I never wanted to change my name from Mama so much in all my life. All I can say is I am glad I live in Temple where our rush hour lasts all of 15 minutes. Oh yeah we did get the stroller and we love it!! So anyway, it is Sunday night and I am beat!! Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

Hey everyone. Today is friday Febuary 29th. Yes it is leap year. I belong to a great mom's group called tots at play and on Fridays we go to Musicmakers!! Waverly really likes it. She doesn't sing but she does dance (kinda)!! She mainly likes the parachute. FYI for those of you that have no experince with children: Having any sort of organized class for children without a parachute is like a frat party without the keg stand. David Anthony also went, he just hung out and watched all the crazy kids run around with no other purpose than to just run!!! Of course we all know the real reason Waverly likes it, they serve snacks at the end of class!! she just goes for the Teddy Grahams!!

It worked!!

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know today is a proud day in the Stewart household. I finally was able to wear some pants that I had before the baby was born. I know what you are all thinking, they are NOT sweatpants, they are real life pants with a button and zipper and not an ounce of elastic anywhere. I can't say they are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn but I can still breathe and the circulation to the bottom half of my body is still intact. And I didn't even have to lay on the bed to get them zipped up!! I have been doing Weight Watchers but because I am nursing the baby full time I get 33 points a day!! If you are not familiar to WW that is a heck of alot of points. I wasn't feeling like I was really losing anything because I was still eating so much, but I guess it is working! I do have a bit of a "muffintop" but I am wearing a loose fitting shirt so you really can't tell. When I asked Waverly if they looked good she replied with "uh-uh". So I know I look rockin'.

Dry Run

Hey everybody. Well as many of you might know my maternity leave is slowly coming to an end. I start back to work next Tuesday. :( Anyway I have been trying to get everybody up at the time we would need to get up when I start back to work. Which is 6:00 for the kids and 5:00 for me!! Yesterday was a little hairy, but today went much better. We are done for the week. I didn't want to do it everyday, because I only work two days a week so why torture everyone. We will see how it goes next week.

P.S. I actually hate it when people use the punctuation marks to show emotions via the email but I am coming along slowly

Go Ram!!

Hey everybody! I just wanted to show off the new purchase that we got last night. It is so pretty and the back can fit up to three carseats!!! I suggested we move the carseats to the truck but I was the only one who thought that. I am glad my husband finally did something for himself. He is so busy working and doing for others he sometimes forgets about himself. I hope the picture worked it is my first time doing pictures. See ya!

Finally!!

Hey there everyone. I decided to finally get a blog. I didn't even know what blog meant until a few weeks ago. Here is my story so far: I am married to the best damn man in the world and he gave me the most beautiful children in the world. Waverly is two and David Anthony is 11 weeks old. They are the best!! I wasn't sure how this whole motherhood thing would work out for me but it has been great! We live in Texas, where my husband is a physician and I am a nurse. I know what a cliche, its like the football players dating the cheerleaders in highschool but it works for us!! I hope this blog is something I can do everyday but we will see. Please look daily for new posts. Listen to me and my new "blog vocabulary". Thanks for listening!
